exams and assessments
So yeah, I am currently in school and the exams and assessments have just finished. I have a few thoughts on everything to do with it.
First, Exams, or Assessments. I reckon I prefer Assessments. Every time I have an exam, I kind of freak out the day before and the morning of. I don't reckon they're bad, I mean, they finish quicker than you think, but it is more stressful. I like assessment tasks that give you time to complete them, time. Unless you leave it to the last minute and you've got a whole justification to complete in under an hour. Yep. Been there.
To be honest though, I usually know the topic quite well, but I doubt myself. Occasionally I open an exam and freak out at the first question, but I actually know the answer. There's usually only 1 or 2 challenge questions on the test, and sometimes I get them, but they aren't a real representation of what you've learnt.
Different subjects have different types of tests. For all kinds of math they are always the same, just a paper you sit with the entire class, but like physics and any other kinds of science can have practical exams or regular ones. I personally prefer regular ones, theres just something about messing the experiment up. Some subjects like English have speeches, and I actually enjoy speeches, I thrive in that kinda stuff, and then there are research papers and essays which aren't bad either.
After the exams and assessments I feel so relaxed. Literally, as if all the pressure has gone away. I mean it kinda has. I feel like school is kinda useless after the exams, except for the subjects that give back exam results like halfway through the term and start the new topic then. Afterward the next term begins, the exam is already happening. Its like a domino effect though.
| Term 1 | Term 2 | Term 2 | Term 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exam W5 | Exam W1 | Exam W8 | Exam W4 |
There literally is no exam in Term 4 (Unless there are more than 4 exams).
Anyhow, yeah, those are my thoughts on exams and assessments. <->
